Young Fisherman Attacked by Crocodile Fights for His Life, Escapes with Injuries

A 20 year old man was attacked by a crocodile on the morning of Saturday, October 21, 2017 while fishing on a lake in the community of Curuçá, in the municipality of Iranduba, 27 km from Manaus in Amazonas, Brazil.

At the time of the attack the young fisherman was alone and had to fight with the animal, which broke fingers on one of his hands and bit other parts of his body, causing deep wounds, especially on his legs.

The fisherman was able to escape after fighting the reptile for his life, prompting the frightened community residents to organize a party to track the croc down and rid them off the man eating beast.

  1. Could be worse. A group of men could have kidnapped him, severed both his hands, ripped his face off, then tried to decapitate him with a dull, rusty box cutter while filming the entire incident.

If there’s one thing that BestGore has taught me, it’s that things can ALWAYS be worse. A lot worse.

          1. Sweet. When you get to Eisenhower Nat’l Airport I’ll be the guy holding a sign with an erected thumb on it. This is KS so ignore the guys holding signs with pigs, cows and chickens. Those guys are up to no good.

  2. Now, I’m not the most experienced angler in the world, but, I’m certain that I could have ended the day without being mangled by a fuckin’ crocodile.
Nope. The croc can keep my bait and hook. He can keep the fishing pole too.
