30 Farmers Massacred by PAM Swakarsa in Indonesia

Both Malaysia and Indonesia are predominantly Muslim countries and the video below is a case of Muslims butchering farmers, but religion had nothing to do with this massacre. This time it was all about money.

Malaysian plantation company operating under the name of PT Silva Inhutani (some media referred to it as PT Pilva Inhutani – not sure which one is correct) has been indicated in the slaughter of endangered Orangutans in Borneo. There was a lot of money in palm oil and the few remaining beasts just had the nerve to call the area rich in right type of palm trees their remaining habitat so the owner of the company is alleged to have them all ordered slaughtered. Generated profits were used to bribe the officials so precious nothing has been done about it and PT Silva Inhutani continued reeking big bucks in.

As his greed grew, the owner of PT Silva Inhutani became aware of fertile land in Mesuji Ogan Ilir Komiring and Sodong, in the Lampung province, South Sumatra, Indonesia. Problem was, the land belonged to a native tribe of people who have farmed on it for generations. The farmers were approached and told to get the hell out of that land cause he wanted it, but the farmers refused saying that they wished to retain the traditions of their forefathers and live the same traditional lifestyle their people lived for centuries, which included staying where they were.

PT Silva Inhutani responded by hiring the services of Indonesian civilian armed group called Pasukan Pengamanan Masyarakat Swakarsa (PAM Swakarsa) and ordered them to massacre the farmers. Afterall, nobody’s gonna miss peasants who don’t care about the modern world and live the traditional – primitive way, right?

In 2003, PAM Swakarsa attacked the Mesuji farmers and massacred 30 of them. After being shot dead, many were beheaded and mutilated. Officials in Lampung, including the police were bribed so no investigation was done into the disappearance of 30 farmers and PT Silva Inhutani was free to start large scale rubber and oil trees plantations on these lands.

After series of complaints to the House of Representatives in Senayan, media pressure forced some politicians to take notice of the massacre and while perpetrators are far from being prosecuted (nobody even knows who exactly is behind PT Silva Inhutani), at least there is some pressure from a few officials now. 8 years after the massacre, however and the villagers got no justice and their land is still freely used by the very company that massacred 30 of them.

Lampung Police continues denying that any such massacre took place, claiming that the video which leaked on the internet must be of some other incident.

Only yesterday – on December 16, 2011 – Neta S. Pane, chairman of the Indonesian Police Watch stated that the government should investigate the allegations and bring PT Silva Inhutani to justice if it’s found to have broken Indonesian law. Indonesian president responded by ordering National Police Chief General Timur Pradopo and Security Affairs Minister Djoko Suyanto to have the Mesuji massacre investigated.

Whether anything gets done is anyone’s guess. When money talks, Indonesians in the high places listen. Meanwhile, poor farmers get slaughtered for profit. Video of the massacre is below:

  1. i really don’t give a fuck if a bunch of gooks get beheaded. it’s not my head and it’s entertaining, gory and y we cum here isn’t it. plus the world could use far fewer gooks, muslims, jews, niggers, mexicans, south americans, arabs and all the other shit that makes up the human race. however, long live the WASP and ARYANS!

  2. Very hot topic in indonesia, some police backingup this bunch of security of the company, what a sad place to live in. a poor people agains corrupted power….

  3. That was the worst beheading I have ever seen. Was he using a butterknife?
One quality of a truly free country is the right to keep and bear arms. Peasants probably weren’t allowed to own guns so had to just take it up the ass when these paramitiary guys showed up. Get to own weapons, they can not only hunt and defend themselves from animals, but also jackbooted paramilitary thugs, and even government sponsored storm troopers.

  4. It’s the same everywhere. That’s why people who tihnk things can change are naive: _anybody_ can be bribed, one way or the other. No matter who is elected, he will have a price, and if not, he will have loved ones. Money talks.

A big company only gets properly investigated when an even bigger competitor is paying even bigger bribes to bring them down. That’s what it boils down to.

And it’s the same in Indonesia or Germany or Canada or China or Sudan. You stand in the way of the people with money, you get a visit by Law Enforcement to tell you you better make yourself scarce or something bad may happen to you and your family.

Those with the money can pay any armed group, including military and police, to get rid of those who cause trouble. And no one will ever care, it’d be just another “unsolved murder.”

  5. What is it with all the scum that behead people? It’s like they get their jollies doing it and probably have orgasms at the same time. I think I’m gonna burn my passport cuz I ain’t gonna go out of the country (USA) any time soon.

  6. this is nothing to do with malaysia..not a malaysian company..

check on internet by typing PT Silva Inhutani,Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono for more accurate info

  7. I am amazed at the determination of cutting off the heads ! First he was using a butter knife to try and hack through then kept on going with gun shots ringing out as well.

  8. land clearing for palm oil is decimating the few areas where critically endangered wildlife call home, there are less than 60 Sumatran rhino’s left, less than 350 Sumatran tigers, these animals are doomed as this is not enough healthy breeding stock and they are separated by farms/roads etc, we boycott anything with palm oil in my family including Aussie favourite TimTams!

  9. So why the hell are they beheading the corpse ?
Every beheading has reasons. To give extra fear and pain, to threat people behind the victim and on, so what in this case ?

  10. Can you say ASSHOLE? What the hell. They are going to behead someone please sharpen your tool. KARMA will happen to these men. Then they wonder what happened. And as we all know revenge is a dish best served cold. So boys watch your back. Too much violence in the world anymore. Or maybe we are just now hearing about it and it has always been here. Who knows.

  11. Ah the spinal cord is one tough mutha, thats why in most beheading videos you see the beginning of the decapitation, and then a cut scene to the head being placed on top of the body. It can actually take 10-15 minutes to cut through the spine, even with a sharp blade, which can really be boring if you are trying to make a video look as horrendous as possible to show the west how scary you can be.

  12. First of all, hung like a midget only makes me laugh, and I doubt it is serious anyway. Second, the noises the guy at about 3:10 or 3:15 is making sound rather like the noises my brain damaged cousin makes when she wants something or her adult diaper needs changing. Bloody pathetic all around!
