   I am not sure where you learned anatomy but the guy is not impaled through the hip.The hip resides on the side of the leg attaching femur to gluteus.He is impaled through his right side abdominal wall.If the bar missed intestines,he should be ok.If not,he may need a colostomy bag or removal of intestinal section.
