Robert Andrew Berdella also known as Kansas City Butcher was a serial killer who moved to your neighborhood in Kansas City where he tortured, mutilated and killed at least six men. A house where his acts took place still stands on 4315 Charlotte Ave, but I have no information on whether anyone lives there today.

Originally from Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Robert Andrew Berdella moved to Kansas City when he was 18. His enrolment in the Kansas City Art Institute was accompanied with illegal substance abuse which got him into a scuffle with the law after he tried to sell amphetamines to an undercover cop.

By the time he was 20, he dropped out of art school and started working as a chef for well established restaurants in Kansas City. He bought that house on 4315 Charlotte Ave and got involved with the community, like every upstanding citizen would.

Towards his late 20′s, Robert Andrew Berdella got to be very open about his homosexuality and opened a “Bob’s Bazaar Bizarre” shop at the Westport Flea Market. The shop specialized in selling any items generally regarded as “bizarre”, including human skulls, witchcraft and occult books, knives and swords, jewellery, and whatever else was bizarre enough to fit in.

By the time he was 33, Robert Andrew Berdella got involved with an unstable Vietnam veteran but the relationship didn’t work out very well so he started picking up male prostitutes. Many of them were allowed to live in his house in exchange for little help with housework and cuddles when the lights went out.

When he was 35, Robert Andrew Berdella found himself a favorite gay prostitute – 19 year old Jerry Howell. His previous sexual encounters contained heavy sodomy, but it was with Jerry Howell when he took it to a whole new level. He used animal tranquilizers to keep the victim drugged up, gagged and bound him against the bed so he could sodomize him repeatedly and take polaroid pictures of the progress.

Jerry Howell died from asphyxiation on July 6, 1984. Robert Andrew Berdella took him to the basement, hung him upside down and slit him open to drain all blood out of his dead body. Once bloodless, his body was dismembered and pieces stuffed in a garbage bag which he deposited outside his house just before the garbage truck showed up. Unaware, garbagemen picked up the bags and took them to the incineration site disposing of the evidence for good.

On April 10, 1985 Robert Andrew Berdella met Robert Sheldon whom he invited home and allowed to stay for a couple of days. Burning with desire to keep his new acquaintance, Bob drugged him up the same way he did with Jerry Howell before and repeatedly sodomized his live, but bound and gagged body.

Few days later, the roofman came to fix his roof so to avoid the roofman hearing the moaning of Robert Sheldon, Robert Andrew Berdella suffocated him with a plastic bag. Unlike he did with Howell, Sheldon’s body was sliced up in a bathtub to allow for blood drainage and the disposal ritual was a bit different too. The body was dismembered and stuffed in a garbage bag, but this time the butcher kept the head which he buried in the backyard.

Mark Wallace was hired to do some yard work for Berdella. When the storm came, young man went to hide in a shelter so Berdella invited him inside where he had him drugged, bound and gagged for ongoing sodomy. The death from asphyxiation came a few hours later so Barbella sliced him up and disposed of him the same way as with his previous victim.

Todd Stoops was a male prostitute Robert Andrew Berdella used to use prior to his KC Butcher days. When the two met again, Todd was invited in the house of horror but this time never to leave. He was tortured and sodomized for weeks before he died of blood loss and injuries sustained during mistreatment. The disposal was the same – the garbagemen just picked up his bags and threw them in.

When his friend Larry Pearson ended up in jail, Robert Andrew Berdella bailed him out and invited him to stay in his house. Needless to say, young fella was drugged and tortured for 6 weeks but managed to bite his tormentor’s penis on Aug 5, 1987. He was suffocated to death with a plastic bag and Robert Andrew Berdella had to go to the hospital for penile treatment. Because sodomy was nothing new, doctors did not suspect anything funny and just treated the patient. When Pearson’s body was disposed of, Berdella dug out the skull of Robert Sheldon to keep it in his closet.

Chris Bryson was to be his next victim. This male prostitute was taken to Berdella’s home, was drugged, handcuffed, gagged and sodomized for 5 days until one day, when Robert Andrew Berdella went to work (dude continued going to work while keeping his boyfriends tied up at home) he managed to set himself free by burning through the ropes that kept him tied up and ran out of the house wearing nothing but a dog collar.

The police initially didn’t make a big deal out of seeing a naked guy with a dog collar, given that the community was known for people practicing sodomy but when they got the details out of Chris Bryson, shit started hitting the fan.

Upon arrest, the police charged Robert Andrew Berdella with seven counts of sodomy, one count of felonious restraint and one count of first degree assault. His bail was set at $500,000, but upon careful evaluation of torture logs and pictures taken by the torturer himself, one police officer suspected murder and dug deeper into the situation.

Large scale investigation was launched which involved digging through the backyard which revealed buried skull of Larry Pearson. Dubbed the Butcher of Kansas City, Robert Andrew Berdella pled guilty to 1st degree murder in the death of Robert Sheldon and to 4 counts of 2nd degree murder involving his other male victims. He was sent to Jefferson City, Missouri with two life sentences with no parole and four life sentences with parole. After three and a half years in jail, Robert Andrew Berdella died of a heart attack.

Child Starved to Death

Even though it looks alive, this child is allegedly dead. It died of starvation. It takes a bit of an imagination to call this “a child” as it looks like something from the cover of the National Enquirer issue about aliens, but the info that came with the picture insists that it’s not manipulated and that it’s a real child that was starved to death.

The eyes have gloss to it, but they are very empty, making them look alive and dead at the same time. The expression with open mouth gives the photo a gut wrenching feel. Did you know that on a worldwide scale, one child dies of starvation ever second?

Terrorists, Killers and Middle East Wacos video is basically a 54 minutes long compilation of some pretty good gore, war and ownage videos. It doesn’t have any commentary, unless the original video came with one. Otherwise it’s an ongoing compilation of one video pasted after another. Tied Up and Left to Choke Himself to Death

You know how they say in movies: “You’ll pray you were never born”? Well, this guy prayed just that as he was dying an agonizing, slow death. His executioners tortured him and tied him up in an extremely uncomfortable position. Then they left him to suffer until he could not bear being compacted anymore and attempted to stretch his legs. With each stretch, he was tightening the rope around his neck which was slowly choking him to death. Brutal way to prolong one’s death and make it as tormenting as can be.

Brutal Beatings of Saddam Hussein’s Opponents in Iraq

This video was recorded during Saddam Hussein’s reign in Iraq. Saddam’s police were sent to teach the opponents of the regime a lesson and they delivered. The video is a compilation of various beatings, each of them pretty brutal and endless. I believe some of the beatings took place in prison. In those cases, the prisoners had nowhere to escape and just took the torture as it came.

There were for the most part three to four police with sticks to beat one helpless Iraqi. Despite brutality of Saddam Hussein and his regime, many Iraqis feel that atrocities of Americans after one year of occupation outdid three decades of brutalities by Saddam Hussein and his men.

Issam Judeh Mustafa Hamad Severely Burnt and Beaten to Death

Atrocities of Israeli terrorists against Palestinians are well known and documented. The description that I got with these pictures says that the victim – Issam Judeh Mustafa Hamad was a 40 year old father of 5 living in a small village of Um Safa in Ramallah, Palestine. He was kidnapped by Israeli militants while on his way to work. Even though Issam Judeh Mustafa Hamad was harmless and never involved in war, the fact that he was Palestinian was a good enough reason for Israelites to ambush his vehicle, kidnap him and put medieval on his ass.

Body of dead Issam Judeh Mustafa Hamad was discovered thrown in the field near the village where his family lived. The body wore signs of obvious torture prior to death, he was severely beaten and burnt. His skull was fractured, neck suffered from severe damage, burns all over his body but no punctures from bullets. He was simply burnt and beaten to death.

Contributor’s Dos and Don’ts

TITLE
Title must always be descriptive. It must clearly and undisputedly describe the content. Don’t post generic titles. For example “Bombing in Iraq” is way too generic. Make it clearer so there is no doubt what your post is all about. For example “Bombing in Iraq Leaves Four People Burning Alive in the Street”. Capitalize first letter of each major word in a title. Never post misleading titles ever.

TAGS
Add any and all tags that relate to the content. Enable readers to find your post easily. If it’s a video of a beheading, make sure you include all relevant tags, such as Beheading, Beheaded, Decapitation, Headless, etc. Everything that a regular reader may search for and would apply to your content should be included in tags.

DESCRIPTION
Expressing your feelings when writing descriptions is fine. It makes it more personal, rather than sounding like general reporting. Instead of saying that “Civilians have been targeted in latest bombing in Baghdad”, try to say “Suicide bombers in Iraq won’t stop at nothing. It almost seems as if they were going for a head count. Targeting not only military objects, but also civilians have become the norm. The bombing in this video shows aftermath of an attack aimed at civilians and many paid for it with their lives. They would be walking down the street to get to work and then “BANG” and half of their head was blown off…….” that’s just an example but that’s basically what descriptions should be like. Make sure you use relevant keywords in the text often. Bombing should be used several times, Iraq as well, war as well, explosion, etc. These words should be reused over and over. Whatever appears in the tags needs to be the most used phrase in the description.

VIDEOS
When you’re embedding videos, make sure you are on an HTML tab. If you are on a Visual tab and paste in an embed code, it will be busted. You should be on HTML code at all times. Having some understanding of HTML would help, but is not necessary.

PICTURES
All pictures need to be watermarked before they are uploaded on a server. This can be done with any image editing software. Uploading is easy, if you have experience with WordPress it will be a breeze, otherwise I could show you how to do it. It’s really easy.

You may want to take a test run posting to Chill Out Videos category. Basically anytime you see a cool video, you can post it on Best Gore. It should go to Chill Out Videos category and all you need is an embed code (provided by YouTube, LiveLeak and most others on the same page where video is), paste it there, write a brief description and good title and post it. Once you get a hang of posting on Best Gore, then you can move on to post an actual gory content. If you have previous WordPress experience and feel confident about Gore content, go right ahead. At present time, you all can submit content, but it will not appear on the site immediately. I will review it and approve, unless you abuse the system. After you have posted a couple of usable posts, I will upgrade your account so your post will appear immediately.

Zetas Execution of Rival Gang by Beheading and Dismemberment

The pictures are from Uruapan, Mexico. Yeap, good old Mexico. Zetas showed how ruthless they can be with members of rival gangs. Three black garbage bags were dropped off in town and after locals opened them, they found three dismembered bodies inside. Carvings on dead people bore signs suggesting this was work of The Zetas. On top of being dismembered, the men were obviously ruthlessly tortured and subsequently beheaded. No mercy from The Zetas.

Remember last time we had pictures of Zetas posted on Best Gore? That time it was Zetas members who were dismembered. I don’t think this incident and the other one are related as it looks as though every Mexican drug gang was at war with every other Mexican drug gang and if it looks like someone else is getting on the turf of the gang that controls particular territory, something extremely graphic comes out of it. Oftentimes you don’t even have to step on other’s gang territory. They would just murder you to let everyone know that they are bosses here. Mexico is a warzone these days. Gang killings there count as some of the worst and most brutal in the world.

Religious Self Flogging (Bloody Self Mutilation) in Philippines – Pics

Self Flogging or Self Flagellation is ritually performed in the Philippines during Holy Week (on Good Friday, before Easter). Young men would walk down the streets shirtless, whipping their own backs till blood is drawn and flesh is torn. Self flogging is performed to punish themselves for their own sins committed during the year. Whips used have glass or bamboo tips to ensure each stroke draws blood.

I understand that these men self flog themselves due to religious reasons which makes it hard for me not to use the word “fanatics”. Certain areas of the Philippines, such as Pampanga which was featured by National Geographic’s “Taboo” also involve crucifixion whereas men are actually nailed against the cross and lifted up to suffer the same pain Jesus Christ went through when he was crucified.

In the Philippines, the rituals of Self Flagellation and Crucifixion re-enactments are seen as highest form of faith a man can express. I wonder if it’s still what it was originally intended to be as nowadays these self flogging events are advertised by the Filipino government to draw more foreigners to the country as it is a spectacle most people don’t get to see elsewhere. A tradition, albeit maniacal has been turned into a profitable touristy venture.

Showing Off Really Deep Emo Cuts (bloody pics)

Following up on our notorious Emo Pics post, Best Gore is back with more emo cuts, this time the cuts are deeper, longer and bloodier. This time it is also obvious that this emo kid cut himself (or herself, can’t say for sure with these skinny people) for the show. He’s spreading the cuts open and taking pictures from all different angles. He’s also playing with his own blood he had collected in the bucket and takes pictures of it all to show how awesome he is. Clearly showing off in this case, I’m pretty sure of that one.

I have to give this emo kid props, though. He’s still pretty fucking messed up, but these cuts are fucking deep. It’s a true mastery in self inflicting and enduring pain. Not that that’s much to brag about, but still – he did it and likely enjoyed himself doing it. Cuts that go that deep must have hurt to inflict. It would hurt if someone else was doing it to you, but doing it to yourself – damn!

I guess you reach this stage when nobody thinks your suicidal poerty full of broken dreams and broken hearts is anything special. If your writing gets no attention, your cuts will. And they do, obviously. So much to go through just to get attention though? Why not just shove a glass jar up your ass instead… Oops
