Russian Man Drowns in Flood Water As Hypothermia Sets In

Parts of Russia have been ravaged by severe flooding which already claimed the lives of at least 150 people. In some areas, water temperature never gets above 10 Degrees Celsius which is really cold and if a person gets caught in it, hypothermia quickly sets in, rendering self help impossible.

I don’t know why the man in this video did not get out of the water while he still had strength. Cold water sucks life out of you very quickly making you entirely dependent on help from others or be faced with death by drowning, so getting out asap is essential.

When the video starts, the man is past the point of getting himself out of there on his own. His muscles no longer provide enough strength to pull himself out, though he still clings onto that post. Without help, he was soon gonna let go and drown and that’s exactly what happened.

After seeing the video of the obnoxious Puerto Rican bitch with an Iphone who filmed a guy going up in smoke in New York, I didn’t think there was a possibility of anyone equally irritating existing anywhere in the world. I was wrong. The obnoxious Russian bitch from this video totally stole the show. You just want her camera to grow scissor hands and chop her head off just so she shuts the fuck up and tries to help instead of lamenting in a foreign tongue while the man out of his strength counts seconds before he no longer can hold on.

I found this video very sad and upsetting, much more so than most of what’s already on Best Gore. The man was so exhausted with hypothermia, he could not even call for help. Anybody would be if they found themselves in the same situation. He desperately needed help and he needed it right in that moment. The incompetent lady tried to get to him from the roof, but she was no Tarzan so her effort brought no fruit. Meanwhile, the obnoxious bitch with the camera, safely on the ground hence away from the harm’s way, calmly lamented. It wasn’t her who was in desperate need of help, so she just lamented.

RIP Petr Ostapenko :(

  1. these russians are usually so drunk when they fall into the water that they never feel the cold. Its like going out with one of those “exit bags”, really coooool

    • =(, it’s not the Russians fault their population are full of lame and alcoholic people. Back during the communism revolution the Jewish Commazars executed 40 million of the most intelligent, resourceful, energetic, fit, and best of the russian populations to make them easier to control. Than their leaders were of the worst types… brutal jewish comazars and the thugs and lowfuls of the Russian ranks. It did an tremedous about of genetic damage to the Russia and Slavic population.

    • oh god…..well, at least they left these hot femjoy chicks grandparents alive…on the other hand, “impure” unruly turkic ethnicities like the cossacks, tatars, etc were left almost extinct thanks to Stalin’s ethnic cleansings (tatars still claim today to have produced about as much as half of Russia’s nobel prizes, so perhaps it was a bad move).
In any case, Stalin was quite the russian supremacist when dealing with minorities (even when he wasnt even russian), and his personal writings show clearly that he held in high esteem the working spirit and overall sheepiness of the white russian population, which he actively exported everywhere over the URSS at the expense of local populations that where nearly anhilated. The best example is Ukraine, where nowadays about half the population are ethnic russians, when 100 years ago they were mostly turkic tatar/cossacks.
On top of all this, Stalin’s antisemitism is quite well documented (well, he was an orthodox seminar drop-out after all)

  2. FUCKED UP. I would Have totally helped him out. Or even tried god damn Not even that far i couldnt watch a son a father a brother Just die and film it like garbage. thats so disrespectful. While They are warmer and have more Power and are stable not in the water i would use what i have to give he helpless man out.
they are watching him like its a fucking dog. and if it was a dog i would save his god damn paws!

    • Unfortunately your good intentions would most likely add to the body count. Natural floods are nothing like the gentle sweep of a waterpark’s “lazy river” or tame streams/rivers. Since there is no natural landscape (like a normal river basin) or man-made “release valve” (like dams and other constructed reservoirs) to accommodate excess water, rapid dispersion creates an accelerated, substantial force.

A creek near my childhood home used to flash-flood frequently; Texas is riddled with storms and cloud-bursts, and parched soil hardens and can’t really “hold” (absorb) the excess water, so every substantial storm=flooding. The clay-colored water looked deceptively serene sweeping around the landscape with sporadic water-curls forming and ebbing on the frothy surface.

I was an idiot and tried to cross a bridge that had a few inches over it. I figured 3-4 inches would be a cinch to manage, but it was unbelievably difficult to move my feet. The power of that waters push was indescribable. I had to fight with everything I had to get back to dry ground and not get swept off the bridge. Every movement was countered with what felt like an unrelenting leg sweep from a martial arts champion.

I got lucky, many overconfident kids ignored their parents warnings and drowned to death over the years. Every foot of rushing water represents 500lbs of lateral force. Between 1 & 2 feet of water, most cars and SUVs are swept away. And flood water isn’t strictly liquid. Beneath the surface lurks rocks, shopping carts, pipes, bicycles, felled trees, lawn mowers, portions of demolished homes, manhole covers, trash cans, vehicles, etc etc. You get the idea.

This poor man had everything going against him. Water depth, subsurface debris, bitter cold, no lifeline, and unrelenting power crushing down his every movement.

      Moral is;
      Toss a lifeline? Sure!
      Attempt rescue by boat? Sure!
Vertical rescue via helicopter or other elevated structure? Sure!
Jump into the water yourself? Count on becoming more material for Best Gore. :(

Woman #2 was unwittingly orchestrating her daughter’s death by telling her to get in to help the father. Anya must’ve had some keen instinct by heeding the urge to stay out of the water.

  3. There are plenty of people watching, not looking for a solution, then you got that girl at the window that might as well fall in to, shes so stupid. I’m sure he could have been helped. Instead they wine like bitches and cry when he dies.
    Okay then…

  4. I assume she is saying “why isn’t anyone helping him” and ” here’s your shirt”
Poor russian guy, I would have thrown him my long narrow dick and reeled him in.

    • Damn, Baked… I was gonna give Nichole a nod for her pole dance reference but “long narrow dick” cracked me up.
      I need sleep dude…

    • She is screaming “help him” The male voice I believe is saying “Who is going to help him?” Or something like that… She keeps telling him to stay above the water and the hold on… I am not russian but their language is very very close to ours so I understand most of it.

I don’t know why nobody can help him maybe the water current is a bit faster than it seams… Either way hard to watch a man fighting for his life…

    • Like the new picture Baked!

I now realise that your fear of the Reptilian Tulio was a cunning ploy to distract our attention from yourself!

You! You! Must be Icke’s nemeses…

He is going to be pissed when I tell him.

  5. In some areas were flooded in the night. The government had knowledge that areas would be in flood danger but didn’t evacuate anyone. More than a few people woke up with their beds already submerged or their neighbors and farm animals drowning or screaming in terror. It’s possible this man was one of the people that hadn’t been evacuated and woke up in the water and this pole was the first thing he could grab onto.

      • The Russian Empire and communist Russia under Lenin were different. There were faults with the Empire simply because it was an early empire. Lenin’s rule set up the country for glorious things and a brilliant future, but Stalin polluted that. Had Stalin not risen to power Russia would probably still be a country of glory and this situation would be different.

  6. I speak Russian (i was born there) I cant speak it well anymore i pretty much dropped it when i moved to America but, from what i can gather
    First video:
Women filming (we will car her Women 1 ok?) : Is he stuck? How long has he been there? Call for help.
    women 2:probably her husband:Ostapenko!
women 1:hes get lower help him!
    women 2: Go on Anya!
women 1:hes sinking in the flood!
women 2: Anya help your father!
women 1: he seems tired he looks like hes going to pass out!
i cant understand much else but i heard screaming and That he had 2 kids

          • I don’t understand tho, I hope you don’t mind me asking I’m just curious ego what is it like down there? Is it more man or more woman or what’s the deal or does it differ from person to person, also do you find yourself attracted more to a certain sex or both equally…I only ask because I am curious, I mean no disrespect

          • @PALE RIDER
Well I honestly don’t know any other hermaphrodites so i could not tell you if it varied from person to person and its equal i get male and female hormones produced to me. So what that means is if something turns me on i have the same feeling as a male would when he is and a female would when she is i consider myself both because i’m a senior in highschool (18) and I love my Boy parts but I love my girl parts But i need to decide soon (its not healthy to produce both!). So When ever i decide I will get the other sex removed and never get those hormones again. I can tell you now men are lucky i loved puberty as a boy it was a blast im so sexualy turned on by anything its great! Girl hormones are a not as fun. I experienced both Puberty but i have no finsihed Male puberty yet, (you guys take awhile) Im thinking of becoming a Women But i love girls too…its all hard to decide :( I like both to answer you questioun I like Cock But i like pussy too.

          • @Ego- Ok so do you look like a female or a male? Do you have a vagina as well as a penis or do you just have an enlarged clitoris? Do you have both testes and ovaries?

Going through puberty doesn’t last that long, and hermaphrodites rarely experience puberty because of the hormonal differences.

          • I have balls and a big dick, now how do I get rid of this stupid urge for penetrating human females?

          • @ Ego

Don’t get me wrong, I’m all cool with intersexed, but why wait till after puberty to decide your gender? If you want one or the other (not both), it needs to be decided before puburty, or permenant features become permenant (like bone structure, height, etc.).

    • There is no current at all, its just a slow roll, nobody is helping because if they get wet they’re dead as well, that and the guy couldn’t do anything anyways.

      • An undercurrent in a bay once got me in trouble, i didn’t see it, nearly drowned then. Obviously i didn’t learn much from it, for now i may be spotting them where they are not; wish i could tell the difference though.

      • I’ve heard that you don’t suffer much from hypothermia, if the water is really cold, you’ll stop feeling anything in as little as 5 minutes, and enter in a somewhat stoned state until you die (Baked, don’t try it at home)

      • The same goes with fire, All your nerve endings will be burned off after which you wont feel pain, But by that time you’ll probably be “well done”.
Like ryan dunn from jackass, “cooked well dunn” *evil luagh*

        • @Baked- I don’t want to watch my forehead skin melt and ooze over my eyes regardless if I feel pain or not.

I heard that once you have passed the point of ‘freezing’ your body goes into a sense of ‘burning.’ I suppose much like freezer-burning.

People that often die by freezing tend to rip their clothing off thinking that they are hot when they are actually freezing to death.

Although, this has been observed in ‘dry-land’ hypothermia rather than water hypothermia.

          • I did not know that.
Not only are you fuckable as fuck, You also have some great input.

The female coven of BG better not get any ideas.

          • It’s more like being dressed for winter in summer, its really hot out, better take these clothes of before heat stroke gets me.

          • @Fiend- Fascinating! You learn a lot with that show. I do say, I do a lot of research after I watch it and the deaths are pretty accurate. Good show indeed!

        • I heard that it actually produces a torrent of orgasms of such an intensity that the pleasure is beyond belief….oh wait, perhaps I just imaginated that…
Well, W Bush and his mongrel friends imagined that crap of “intelligent design” and they defend it as a serious thing, so why not the Divine Orgasm of Death?….

  7. We now live in a society where people now only use their phones to video tragedies to give them youtube kudos rather than use their phones to call the emergency services…

That said the emergency services would be useless to help in this scenario but you know what i mean

  8. Maybe with the combined efforts of everyone there the man could have been saved. That man lasted a long time in that current and cold water, too bad his body gave out on him before help could arrive in time.

  9. i just dont get it – someone standing there filming ,wtf, why on earth did he/she continue filming and get help.
also as mentioned above, there was time for tying bedsheets/blankets, rope etc, anything to at least try.
    poor guy.

on a side note, three people over here in the u.k have died due to floods lately – and i am darn sure that if the situ was the same as the video, people would have actually helped and as promptly as poss [ mind you, i could be wrong ]

      • Where would this help come from? Maybe the police could get their police yacht through the hood to save him, or maybe there’s an eskimo around that could get into water that cold and survive long enough to save him.

        • i get your point, but like others have said – i still feel that something could have least been tried by those that were around, even if it failed

          • I agree with the statement in most cases, people should try to help others, but sometimes we must see that theres nothing that can be done, aside from dying with them, I think people suffer to much survivors guilt to often when nothing can be done.

    • “i just dont get it – someone standing there filming ,wtf, why on earth did he/she continue filming and get help.”

In the cattle-minded, social networking society that devices like camera phones have helped build, getting “Likes” and “Thumbs Up” on Facebook and YouTube is more important than helping someone out. In any way, shape, or form. It could ruin a chance at viral video fame!

      • If someone had thrown a rope to him he wouldn’t have been able to catch it and tie to his body. Only professional rescuers could have done some useful effort.

  10. It is this culture of pulling out a phone and filming rather than helping that lets sites like this one exist, so I’m torn.

One part of me thinks “put the phone down and help you stupid bitch!”, but another part of me thinks “I really want to see the video of this guy dying”

  11. i almost drowned back in ’98 while vacationing in Florida. i swam too far out to sea and became exhausted. a guy came by on a jet ski came by and saved my worthless ass. he towed me in. more time for me to exist as a fv in this meaningless life. that was 14 yrs ago. i often wonder if he did me a favor that day.

    • Ahh yes. Water…
I almost drowned in a hotel pool in gainesville,fl.
I was about 7 years old, Me and my dad were getting ready to hit the pool, I couldn’t wait so I ran out, jumped into the pool and swallowed so much water that it made me puke as I was drowning. I was traumatized but everything was cool after I pulled on my 2″flaccid pecker for a while.

      • Bloody Hell guys.

        Florida is a dangerous place!

Not too make light of your misfortune. I have nearly met my maker via a watery grave myself.

I was on holiday as a bouncy, indestructible 7 year old.

Went down a huge water slide and forced a load of water up my nose and mouth.

Next thing I know. I am being rescued by a dashing Spanish lifeguard.

        Also my first homoerotic experience.

      • I wasn’t in Florida, but in Texas. I was 9, and was allowed to go out by the pool. Not covered, we were all of the age to be aware of dangers. I was a lousy swimmer as a kid. I slipped on something. Ended up falling in, and hit my head to boot, on the 10′ end. Only 2 mins or so, but terrifying. Needless to say I took lessons to better myself.

  12. The woman in the background was saying that he is drunk

then the last comment the woman speaking says

    He swam somewhere there.

So we must assume he swam somewhere else and didn’t die.

  13. Someone shoot that bitch on the roof, I’d like to see her kerplunk into the water while she was too fuckin stupid to get a rope or ANYTHING that could help him.

  14. Personally, I think the man in the water swam the fuck out of there just to get away from all of the blessed caterwauling. He did have the energy to swim a little. He might have lived. I didn’t see him actually drown. Nor did I see if anybody else tried to rescue him. If there is a follow-up to this story that confirms that he is actually deceased, I’d like to see it. If he was drunk (as the video may indicate), that would actually work against him. If he was extremely shit-faced, he could drown from passing out. You never want to administer alcohol to a person who has hypothermia. That’s my PSA for the day. :-P For what it’s worth: http://www.hypothermia.org/hypothermia1.htm

  15. They could’ve of saved him, if only that stupid bitch would leave the darn phone and help him. How can she live with herself watching this video knowing she could of least tried. People can be so cruel and ignorant.

  16. He should stripping his clothes off quickly. When clothes and shoes became wet and heavy on him to pulling him down into the water. That is fucked up….

  17. I don’t think anyone is seeing this thru. How were they supposed to get him out jump in the water, because that wont were they will be picked up the current and died to or get cold and die like him. Or maybe your saying they could have used a rope. well sure but Russians just dont have fucking rope lying around there in a yurtua (free Russian home) they probably cant cloth themselves with their own money. then some of you said the police…sure lets get the fucking spetnaz to go down and save you guy! Also lets bring the fucking Boat…..what you mean a boat cant fit in what seems to be a fucking 20 feet gap safely….well shit…then there nothing we can do then video tape form saftey i mean what am i supposed to do my house is underwater and im on the roof with a camera mine as well.

  18. that bitch for sure needed a dick to shut her mouth..she could have saved him had she applied some brains..dumb bitch..poor life wasted..

  20. They couldn’t have tied bed sheets together and throw it at him to use as a rope?
What the fuck was that annoying bitch saying? Why in most videos where there are women, they are screeching nonstop but NONE of them physically do anything to help anyone?! They just babble in their language and annoy the fuck out of anyone who is forced to be there to listen to them!
I’m a woman, but DAMN! Sometimes, I feel sorry for men.

  21. - Help! Help!
    - Who is going to help him?
    - Hold on, hold on!
    - Who can be sent to rescue him…
    - Nobody… (the water takes me over too)

Something like that. Sorry for bad english.

I think they did not have a rope. Sad…

  22. I don’t know why I watch these things. Maybe I don’t feel enough in normal life, because I’m compelled to come here and see this terrible stuff and just end up weeping.

  23. help the man for fuck sake.! thewy could of thrown tied sheets anything but no they let him drown an fucking film it… people make me sick
