What-Ev. This is a close range gunshot wound. You can tell by the gunpowder stippling around the entry wound. Small radius. The muzzle of the gun wasn’t touching the skin but it was very close, probably less than 12 inches.

Mark- You’re right. This was a close range shot. The small radius pattern of gun-powder stippling around the wound proves that. It wasn’t a contact wound, (muzzle of gun wasn’t touching the skin), but it was VERY close. I’m certainly no CSI expert, but I bet it was less than 12 inches.
