4 year old girl named Jiali from Tianshui in Gansu Province, China accidentally tripped and fell face first on a screwdriver she was holding. The screwdriver impaled the girl up her nose and wedged itself right below her eye socket. Too bad it didn’t hit her eyeball – knowing how indestructible eyes are, that slimy thing would have bounced the screwdriver right out of her nose like trampoline.
Jiali was visiting her grandmother when the accident happened. She was taken to a local hospital, but the staff concluded the injury was too severe for their resources and transferred her to another hospital that transferred her again to a larger facility in the city. Series of x-rays and CT scans showed that the screwdriver narrowly missed the eye and the brain.
Sometimes when bad luck befalls upon you, good luck shows up last minute to counter the worst possible scenarios.
