Guro Art – Tribal Sacrifice of a Young Girl by Impalement
Big thanks to Breanna for filling us up on Guro aka Anime Gore and pointing out a few good sources for quality Guro Art. This particular drawing depicts vicious tribal sacrifice that involved impalement of a young girl on a sharpened branch of the tree. Young girl bears what appears as tribal tattoo art on her skin. Her hands and knees are tied with thick rope, there are weighs on her nipples and piercings in her ear. The impalement was executed by piercing the body of the girl through her anus until the spike cleared through her mouth.
Definitely a great piece of guro art, even though her toes look a bit odd. But then again, I don’t consider myself an expert on anime, guro or any other similar drawing based art, hence my opinion doesn’t count. You guys who are familiar with anime gore, or just any art in general – would you draw the foot differently or does it complement the image well to you?

im an anime artist too and feet are the most difficult part of body to draw in my perspective…but i really dont see anything awkward about the foot in the image…the thing that’s awkward and left me questioned is how she got impaled like that? from a branch sticking out sideways? i would understand if it was pointing upwards…like what force impaled her like that…but that would really suck to die like that …id rather be beheaded with a butter knife… do they actual practice this sacrifice in real life?
animelover – no, they do not practice this in real life (I hope). This is conceptual art for people like us to enjoy.

This work is one of my favorites. I have both the black and white pencil version and the color version. The artist is Hiroaki Samura. His art’s quite clever actually.
He has one where a girl is lashed to a couple of very thick bamboo stalks while a younger stalk is growing between her opened legs. Not a big fan of that particular pic for some reason, but the fact that he thought about that is very impressive. And his anatomy is flawless. The way he draws feet is quite usual for anime art, as well.
Oh, another site similar to gurochan in that it’s an imageboard is 2chan.net. You have to translate it in babelfish if you can’t read Japanese. If any of you are interested in reading a guro manga, snoopycool.com has one titled Franken Fran. It’s not finished at the moment, but it’s very good.
(Remember when searching tags on danbooru or gelbooru to use underscores instead of spaces if there’s more than one word)
