Boy Shot Point Blank in the Temple of the Head
This boy appears too young to end like this. We don’t see whole face but from what we can see, it does appear as though he was a child. He took a point blank gunshot to the temple of his head. You can still see unburnt gunpowder and burnt in ring from the barrel of the gun.
No info came with the image so I can’t tell whether this is a self inflected wound (aka suicide) or whether someone shot him mercilessly in the head. I tend to lean towards suicide cause if someone wanted to shoot a boy at close range, they wouldn’t go all the way point blank to his head, would they? Something’s telling me that an average murderer would get as close as a foot from the head, but not point blank. But I’m not an expert, it’s just my imagination speaking. What do you think? Suicide or murder?

Definitely looks like a toddler. I think it was murder. If a toddler his age had got hold of a gun I think his hand woula been wobbling b/c of the weight. So the gunshot wouldn’t be so clean. I think some bastard killed the poor little fella.

But this poor little guy was DEFINITELY MURDERED…
NO accident.
this was a “Contact” wound. Meaning the barrel of the gun was pressed against his head as the trigger was pulled. You can tell that by the black ring around the entry wound.
Poor little guy… Can you imagine… somebody holding this little kid tightly and pressing a pistol to his head and pulling the trigger? Or, more than likely, he was asleep and the murderer pressed the gun against the side of his head and killed him in his sleep.
That is just COLD BLOODED.
Hope the killer is dead or about to be. In a VERY VERY BAD WAY… would love to HIS death/gore photos.

I would put money on it that this kid was killed by a close relative… most likely a dad or mom… prob’ly dad. Just a couple of months ago here in the US a dad went on a rampage down in the South and killed a bunch of his family, including his own kids. This could possibly be one of those…. Close relative explains how someone could get close enough to kill in this manner…
Yeah I was thinking that, murder while the poor little lad was asleep. I also think he’s a little toddler, certainly no older than 5 or so. Poor little boy, hope he didn’t suffer too much before this happened and I hope he was asleep. I hope whoever did this rots in hell!

I feel kinda bad in saying this, but it looks like he wasn’t shot sleeping to me. It looks like he was crying, by the puffiness of his eye, however, it doesn’t look like there’s much more damage done to him, just the bullet wound. Perhaps, if louie is right about Oliver, perhaps he saw his sibling die first, got upset by both the sight and the noise, explaining the crying, than was killed? I dunno, but still. That’s a pretty nasty thing to do, if it was Oliver, I hope he rots in hell, after taking the easy way out.
It looks to me like the gunshot caused the puffy black eye. I’m with you Louie – kid stuff pisses me off!!!!!!!! I would like 5 minutes in a room with that ass.
Ozeania… don’t EVER feel bad about speaking your opinion… that’s what we ALL do. Ours is all opinion and conjecture since we don’t KNOW the details.
I really think that puffy little eye is from trauma. The blood on his face may be a wound but could be dried blood from the bullet hole. Look at his forehead right at the very bottom of the photo… looks like more trauma there. I don’t think that would be part of the exit wound, but… who knows.
Maybe he wasn’t asleep… maybe he was awake and got beat up first.
I’m with Combatmedic… I just hope the guy didn’t suffer much before his death.
By the way… I am WAY pleased to see all the posters with sympathy and empathy for this little kid. I applaud you.
Usually when someone receives a shot to the head their eyes swell and they get the black-eye effect. So yeah, it’s quite normal. What I would like to know is: How did this happen? Either he was playing wit a loaded gun, or someone was just sick enough to soot a kid in the temple at point blank. Sad world we live in…..
From the looks of the picture the child looks as if he or she is about 2 to 3 years old. The incident couldn’t be self inflicted 1. There is bruising around the entrance wound meaning the gun had to be pressed to the childs head and the child wouldn’t have the strength to do so 2. Any firearm pretty much has at least a 2 pound pressure trigger which the child would have to use both hands to pull the trigger and that would be impossible to do from where the wound is.
The black eye is due to the head swealing from the gunshot.

You took the words out of my mouth. I bet anything it was a family member who did this, father probably. Not sure if it is the same kid as in the article though. I hope it is, so that this isn’t a whole different incident of a poor kid getting slaughtered. I hate kids, but even this gets me. He didn’t deserve this. At least it was quick.
Actually the more I look at this, the more I think this is the kid from that article Licky put up. If anyone finds anymore information please put it up.

Bernsdorff boy by himself. Sure looks like the kid in this thread. well… as much as we can see of this kid.
Dunno… may not be him, but it’s a kid like him. Any kid, EVERY KID deserves to LIVE happily, without pain or fear. Especially shouldn’t have to fear those who are SUPPOSED to love, provide for them and protect them.

Licky-louie, no need to apologize. Well said. And I am sure this is the same little boy. It makes me heartsick too that someone that is supposed to love and protect you can do something as completely brutal and heartless as this. And we know there are many out there that do.
I don’t HATE much, but I do HATE these people for what they do and they deserve to pay the price.

hey licky….I work in the cemetery itself, finishing up what you start. And as a co-worker once told me “everything i plant never grows”….guess thats a good thing. That’s odd, the mark on his temple doesn’t really look like an entry wound, just like a mark, like it was drawn on or something.
And this kid looks like he’s very young, like, in single digits. I think it would make more sense if he was murdered, however sad that is to contemplate. I think the closer you got to the victim, the more personal it feels. It was most likely done by some sort of sick bastard who just wanted to feel a rush of power, not by someone who needed to do it for any other outside force reason (money or something).
I think murder is more likely ‘cuz when a kid finds a gun they usauly point it at some one else and act like they’re shooting. Looks too young for suicide.

I agree it looks like a murder, but probably not the kid in the article referenced above. The earlobes are too different – the pic of the living kid/family shows the kid with a dangling earlobe, the earlobe in the pic of the dead kid looks more attached than dangling.
Still, regardless of who it was, I hope the murderer gets their just reward.

Yeah that boy is only about 2-3 years old. I saw this picture on a medical site; and it was a case of murder.
The swollen eye is caused by blood pooling. From the direction of the blood pour he was pretty much facing down already. My mom got hit on top of the head one time and her eye turned black and swollen and I’ve seen lots of gunshot wounds, depending on the location of the shot, the blood does get into the eye area.
Assuming this is a murder case, I hope that when they find the monster he pulls out a weapon and P.D. gets to lite him up like a Christams tree. If the killer is in prison already, hopefully the inmates will get him. This one pisses me off though. You can see clearly that the muzzle was pressed on the side of his head. Argh!! Heck, I would have taken the kid in myself if asked if the situation was that desperate. Little guy, rest in peace with Jesus.
