A case of exceptional brutality typical of the Philippines now also in Brazil. If you’re in a bar and somebody is singing – you don’t like their singing so what do you do? That’s right – you kill them. This is exactly what happened to the fellow in the picture.
26 year old Jucinei Alcântara Galdino was enjoying a few drinks in a company of 45 year old Odemar Gomes de Brito on Wednesday night – January 10, 2012 in Travessão Delfino Chaves near Vila Esperança in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. After a few drinks, Jucinei started singing but Odemar didn’t like his singing and attacked him. Vicious fight was escalated by Odemar’s 16 year old step son who joined in to help his step dad.
Overwhelmed with twice as many of them as there was of him, Jucinei was held at the ground by the teenager while Odemar slashed his body with a machete. The initial examination by the forensic department of the police identified at least 25 blows by the machete, one almost severing the victim’s head, the other amputating a finger on his left hand. The police are trying to catch the suspects to clarify what exactly lead to this murder.
