I don’t suppose Caruaru, in the state of Pernambuco – the deadliest city in Brazil needs any special introduction for the SOB’s, does it?
This brutal murder occurred on Wednesday February 27, 2013 at around 11:30pm. The police received a phone call that there was a man dying beside the Cultural Center. Patrol team and an ambulance were quickly dispatched but found the victim already dead.
According to the authorities, the victim was a bum with no identification or address. He survived by begging at traffic lights in downtown Caruaru. He was killed by blows to the head with a stone.
A suspect – another bum who shared “living space” outside the cultural center with the victim was arrested within minutes. 23 year old Alexandre Daví da Silva (yep) was still wearing clothes stained with fresh blood. He initially denied the crime, saying he was injured falling down the steps of the Cultural Center.
