I don’t know where you guys get that this is such a small stab wound. This is Huge.

A small wound would pretty much close back up on its on. The entry wound is always smaller than the object that pierced the skin unless there was some cutting along the line. The elasticity of the skin draws back up. Like an entry bullet hole us usually tiny. (exits wounds are the exception).

Somebody used a Huge blade or something on this guy and it went DEEP, right between some ribs. Lots of nice slicin’ and dicin’ inside. Cut some big A_ _ arteries in there.

That wound is huge. Depending upon the length of the blade, it could have severed the aorta artery or most certainly the spleen, which has a large artery. Either case would have caused sudden, massive bleeding. You don’t stand long with that kind of bleeding. If he had his heart rate up high, (riding bike fast, running, fighting, fear etc.), he could have bled out sufficiently to cause collapse in under a minute. Sometimes sudden bleed out causes extreme drop in blood pressure and causes unconsciousness really fast.

Could have cut through bottom portion of lung. Lung would have filled up with blood rapidly. Note the blood on his chin and neck. Perhaps caughting up blood.

In any case, this wound MOST DEFINITELY is a fatal wound. Wounding was not the aim of the killer. He aimed to kill. SUCCESS.
