Motorcyclist had his head crushed after colliding with an intercity bus in Penedo, state of Alagoas, Brazil. It happened on Friday March 1, 2013 on Rua Dr. Eutiquio Lopes, outside of the Penedo Emergency Care Unit.
According to witnesses, 35 year old Cláudio dos Santos nicknamed Júnior Cigano rode his motorcycle without a helmet down the cobblestone paved road and clipped the bus. The impact caused him to fall right under the wheels of the bus that ran over his head. I don’t think safety helmet would have played much role in saving his life, given the weight of an average modern bus these days.
