Son Dies in an Accident En Route to His Fathers Funeral

This tragic accident happened on March 18, 2013 at around 9:30 am in the city of Yekaterinburg, at the intersection of Deryabin with the Svetlorechensky Bypass in Russia. 59 year old driver of Toyota Carib got in the way of a truck, got t-boned and died on the spot.

33 year old driver of MAZ truck loaded with bricks was travelling at a legal speed of 60 km/h and attempted to brake and swerve to the side but trucks are not as easily manoeuvrable which made the collision unavoidable. It was reported that at the time of the accident, traffic lights that control the flow of traffic through the intersection were down.

The saddest part is that in a strange twist of irony, the deceased driver was en route to his father’s funeral. Fate has a wicked sense of humor.

  1. That car came off like it was hit with a tonne of bricks, I heard the Russian government has misplaced lots of bricks left over from the cold brick war. Rumour has it they were sold to CIA backed international brick traders trying to have a house built in El Salvador for general bush

        1. I’m ok today. I guess I’m better than this guy and his Dad! Lol. Today has pretty much just started being that its 7am. Yes- for the most part we always have sun. I think this year we probably had maybe a total of 2.5-3 weeks of rainy or ugly weather. That wasn’t all at once either. Scattered over our “winter” months. Spring sprung a few weeks ago and its already feeling like Summer..

          1. Lucky you. France just had some nasty weather since February. Cold and rain are our only friends these days.

I’m waiting for Spring just like a dog is waiting for his bone

  2. And as I hung up the phone it occurred to me
He’d grown up just like me
My boy was just like me

And the cat’s in the cradle and the silver spoon
Little boy blue and the man on the moon
    When you comin’ home son?
I don’t know when, but we’ll get together then son
You know we’ll have a good time then
