Recently leaked video shows brutal torture of escaped prisoners that happened in 2012. Back then, the government of Fiji claimed that the prisoners were injured while resisting arrest – this trick seems to be globally universal. But as it goes, a video a guard filmed unintentionally leaked on the internet and as you would expect, cast whole new light on “prisoners injured while resisting arrest”.
In the video, a defenceless man is seen with his hands cuffed under this thighs on the back of a truck. A group of what are presumably guards that had caught the escaped prisoners stomp on the guy and smash his bones with sticks while others sexually violate him with a baton. One of the guards grabs the escaped prisoner’s foot and smashes one metatarsal after another, turning his feet into a jelly. The man then gets his underwear taken off and beaten naked, barely covering his genitalia, while guards torturing him are having themselves a laugh.
Another escaped prisoner who is seated in the grass with hands tied behind his back is not only beaten, but also threatened with an angry dog.
Tropical paradise my ass. Anyone keen on making Fiji their next vacation destination?

It’s just sick how far people will take things when they know they can. It never fails to surprise me how people enjoy harming others like that. I’m sure whatever your crime over there, I doubt your treated too well in these prisons regardless of your crime. So no one can say that beating is just. When you have a bunch of power tripping idiots wielding a little power, it will get out of hand quickly. I live in Nassau County (Long Island N.Y.) and the Nassau County jail is now run by the state because the guards took a guy into the elevators where there were no camera’s and beat him to death for annoying them and asking repeatedly for medicine. So it happens here as well…..
