Drowned Baby Held by Grieving Father

Drowned Baby Held by Grieving Father

Sad news from Thailand. A seven day old boy fell into a canal and although the parents and others rushed to get him out, the little boy had drowned by the time he was brought to the surface. What we see here in this gallery is the agony of a father who has just lost his flesh and blood, a new life that he and his wife had brought into the world. We can assume that the child was intended since we don’t see it lying in the trash as is common in South East Asia.

An adult can make choices that can be judged by others, but a little one is exempt from such judgement. We can automatically blame the parents, considering any child death to be 100% the fault of the parent(s), but accidents do happen. I don’t know exactly what happened but the child simply got free of his parents, whether through neglect on their part or simple accident, and slid under the water. It was the last time they ever saw him alive.

    1. the 23 year old mother was fighting with her husband and in a moment of insanity she threw the baby in the canal,
she instantly went in trying to retreive the baby but was unable to find him in the murky water

  1. 7 day old children do not walk or crawl let alone go swimming in any canal other than 7 days earlier a birth canal so this is negligence or something worse, it is not an accident.

    1. parents were arguing about something stupid and the mother was like trying to be sarcastic to the father by holding her baby walkig in the canal. meanwhile the baby slipped into the water and the father couldnt rescue the baby.

I just translated from thai news

  2. I guess this was an accident.. The mother or father took the baby out to get some sunshine, (or whatever it is that they have to take the baby out) mum or dad had a little accident i.e slipped her/his foot etc. baby was thrown in the canal..

    This is sad.. 🙁

      1. Nah, that only happens on the first couple pups… after that they come shootin out, no problem. This wasn’t their first child’s or the kids head would be more bullet shaped. I’m a doctor, I know these things!

          1. External medicine, and Divinity…. the first was bequeathed to me from my pal, Doc…. the other one came through in the mail after I answered some questions on a website. But now, like Hunter S. Thompson, I get to put Dr. In front of my name without a shred of guilt :)…. my opinion still counts on this matter

        1. what sort of doctor are you obviously not a doctor thats seen many ist time births my ist child head was perfectly normal shaped maybe if forceps etc were used this maybe the case do some more research if you really are a doctor as you state

  3. Uhhh… something isn’t adding up here. How does a baby that small get away from the parents? I could see if he was a toddler who was able to walk but this baby is a new born. They can’t even roll over yet…

  4. The mother had something to do with it or maybe both parents. Munchaussen by proxy syndrome? Babies instinctively know how to swim, they are in the womb for 9 months swimming around and having a good old time in the amniotic fluid. Why would you put seven day old baby in that nasty water unless it was intentional. I hope not, for the babies sake, and parents. RIP little man.
