      Charkhi Dadri Village,

      Four persons, including a woman and a 4-year-old, were killed while 25 injured after a truck rammed into a Haryana Roadways bus, which was on its way to Delhi from Jhunjhunu of Rajasthan, near Samaspur village on Dadri-Delhi road on Monday.

      The truck driver, who was coming from Delhi allegedly in an inebriated condition, first hit the Roadways bus then hit three tractors and a car that was trailing the bus.

      The deceased were identified as Raju of Madhya Pradesh, Ankur of Hansawas village, Poonam Devi and her four-year-son Dikshant of Rajasthan.

      Samaspur village sarpanch Jagbir Singh said around 1.30 pm a truck laden with rice lost control near the village and banged into the bus ripping its right side and injuring the passengers.

      He said that before the truck stopped, it hit four more vehicles. All the injured were rushed to Charkhi Dadri Civil Hospital and other private hospitals in Dadri.

      Twelve of the injured were referred to PGIMS Rohtak, half of them with critical head injuries. One of them identified as Ankur was declared brought dead at PGIMS.

      Police said they have registered a case under Sections 279, 337, 304 of the IPC against an unidentified truck driver.

      The truck driver escaped from the spot taking advantage of the commotion following the accident.
