      Here Are My First 2 Pics Below, Enjoy!

      These 2 will be quite hard to beat, but i am very curious on what the Younger Generation will dig-up,,, as this Old Man Is Not Very Well Educated on Today’s Stuff/Music, And Only Because There Is So Much Of The Newer Generation’s Music Out There Today That It Is Almost Impossible To Keep-Up.

      THE WINNER GETS TO COME-UP TO OTTAWA, AND SMOKE THE BEST, AND PUREST LEBANESE HASHISH WITH THE DRE. AS IT’S ON ME πŸ™‚

          I remember that song WELL.
          I actually had the 45rpm single – on the “B” side was the same song, yet played in reverse.

        This is brilliant @hamburgerbob ! I think you might be winning with this one because although @thedre ‘s selections were definitely much weirder, this is more like music! I could actually have a dance to this one!

        Kinda reminds me of this also kinda weird but less angry song below; literal version included for guffaws.

          I have to agree with ya Girl as Hambergerbob’s his Entry, is definitely more of what people would consider to be real music, being that you can Jive/Dance to it. That Beatles #9 should be in a class of it’s very own, being so strange, lol.;)

      How does one actually go about uploading a video in a forum thread? I should have asked this years ago…

      @happy
      I could have lived the rest of my days blissfully happy if you hadn’t reminded me of that song!! Too evil!

      • #115419

        @lady-lexis

        YouTube videos are embedded automatically. You just paste the full link to the video and that’s it, the rest is done automatically. But you need to use the full link, not the shortened version, ie it needs to contain youtube.com and not youtu.be

        For example, if you paste this code into your forum post:

        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nozsqxjxchs

        it will do this:

      1. Maxwell’s Silver Hammer by the Beatles

      2. My own family’s quasi-Gregorian …song (chant?) sung on long car trips in four-part harmony…”Worm, Wormy, Wormy, Worm”…and “worm, wormyy, wormy, Worm” (ad nauseum, ad infinitum) were the only lyrics. Ohhhhh….those were the days. Sometimes we still sing it to freak out new victims….We like to sing Maxwell’s Silver Hammer too but it was not, of course, part of our original Trammell family repertoire.

      Favorite family memory: OK, so I don’t intend make everyone jealous, but my sister and I had to coolest parents EVER. Dad was getting his PhD in geology in the late sixties/early seventies and for several years, all summer long we were camping way out in the boondocks of Montana with him as he did his thesis fieldwork. We slept in tents, backpacked and were BROKE so we ate the trout and sometimes game and picked huckleberries…yeah…ANYWAY, there were these extremely long trips in our ancient behemoth station wagon and we took our cat with us. Fog the cat was a great camper! When we were driving he had a cat box placed against the back window of the station wagon. One hot, dusty afternoon were stopped at the single traffic light in this tiny, tiny town with the windows open (no air conditioning of course) and our cat was taking a dump in his box and we were all deeply into a rousing chorus of “Wormy, Wormy, Worm” and suddenly noticed the folks around us in cars and on the street were DYING laughing….Good Times.

      This was my entry level to Zappa. An old pal lent me Uncle Meat back in 1979. I was never the same again. From Suzy Creamcheese, the King Kong Variations through to Dog Breath (in the Year of the Plague)… I had been Zapped. From the first note to the last… Dog Breath is my firm Zappa favourite.

          Solomon a.k.a shlomo, you are a Francophone? Native or learned it later in life? I have forgotten all my schoolboy French and German and i was fucking good as well!.😩

          @eraserhead-2

        • #115588

          @hopingfornemesis

          No, I don’t speak french and never had french in school or took any french language course. I have great admiration for the language though, it’s pure art, and for french cinema since I’m a movie buff.

          I considered learning french but I’m just going to learn a third language if I plan to live in the country where that language belongs. France is going down the drain, so I wouldn’t go to France. Although the french countryside is beautiful and White as snow. Most people that think of Paris when France comes to mind, but France has a lot more to offer than that.

          As for german, I have great admiration for that language too as well for German history and culture. But just like France and Sweden, Germany is going down the drain so…

        • #115592

          You will laugh but i was thinking of learning Hindi,Russian or Chinese at one stage. But im too old, too lazy and have better things to do. I love the Romance languages apart from Portuguese;those fuckers sound like burping drunk Martians!
          I thought of Italian but that is too faggy so i reckon i will concentrate on Spanish. I actually got to a decent stage and got lazy ,had noone to practise with and slowly atrophied.

          Yet i reckon i will go back to it as i love Spanish Cinema…and French!

          Like you i love Languages!

          Like you i entertained the thought of going and living in France as i liked its mix of capitalism and socialism but now i have lost faith in it .It is now the Bumboy of the Fritzes and the Uncle Sams and what arse they leave the fucken’ mahdis will stick it in! Every country has been globalised-Zio/ Uncle Sam -fucked apart from China ,Russia and Eastern Europe. Those fucking Magyars are a boring ,cruel bunch though and will turn for coin in time.

          Anyway,enough of my musings young man! Lovely to talk to you. We will do it again.

          @eraserhead-2

        • #115626

          @hopingfornemesis

          Russian is definitely in the top of my list! I listen to a lot of russian metal bands, especially russian folk metal bands, and I think the language is simply beautiful. The fact that they have an alphabet of their own adds to the charm. I’m into russian cinema too, they have a lot of good movies.

          Now regarding the political situation, yes, Eastern Europe is being praised by Right-Wingers and freethinkers in-between (true ones, not cuckservatives) for quite some time for their ability in preserving their racial and cultural heritage. Some countries in Central Europe are doing the same, like Hungary and Poland. Have you ever considered learning polish? I did and perhaps I still might, but it seems to be an extremely hard language to learn especially in the pronunciation.

          As for the Elvis Hitler song, the title is relevant to the hatchet bit and the picture I thought was appropriate for this site.

          “RubberBandits” have made a LOT of strange and weird songs, as im sure you know.
          The first one i Heard (Indeed, the first time i became aware of the band/guys) was when watching “trainspotting 2″… there was a scene in which Renton & Simon are watching “Dads Best friend” by Rubberbandits (definitely a song thats worth a google).

          After this I saw the guys (band members) interviewed on a few shows by a few people… STILL in “character” as far as plastic carrier bags on their heads!

          I was surprised to find that the “Rubberbandits” are extremely intelligent young lads, well versed in politics and current events – as well as having their own, very interesting ideas regarding goverment, and the way in which society is evolving today (if “evolving” is an appropriate word?)

          Yeah, they’ve done a load of comedy sketches and songs for RTE but Horse Outside really blew them up. In fact, I think they pretty much went on record as saying they wish they’d never recorded it because it got them totally the wrong kind of audience; they didn’t want to be known as the clowns who did the horse song!

          Blindboy is a bestselling author now and I hear his podcast is amazing though I haven’t gotten around to listening to it.

          It certainly Sounds like you know MUCH more about “The Rubberbandits” than i do.

          Yes indeed they are from the Republic, from Limerick I believe? Again, I could look this up but it’s much more fun to speculate and guess like we used to do in the golden days πŸ˜€ Great accents down there; musical, lyrical, impossible to fucking understand! I used to work for a client that had two major call centres, one in Belfast and one in Limerick. Not only could the customers not understand us in Belfast, but the folks in the two call centres couldn’t understand eachother either. We’re only 200 miles apart! I try to imagine how any new NIRVANA Albums would sound, and have been like if Cobain was still around, as I am sure that they would have been epic, to say the least! It’s Sad man, being that he was such a brilliant songwriter, and so bright with a great future ahead of him, only to succumb to the heroin that he took in order to ease the pressures of life in the music industry, or, just life itself πŸ™

      I loved this band in the 1980’s. They were from Cork. They produced some superb pop moments and some utterly inspired left-field, semi-psychadelic streams of unconsciousness like this.

      “Can we sleep alone?
      My wife is a horse.
      Poor old sailor boy
      Beached forevermore…”

      If you can get a hold of any of their CDs – then DO! They are all quite brilliant. Faves are Crooked Mile and The Clock Comes Down The Stairs.
