Suturing of Pinky Toe Injured in Fall Down Stairs

Today’s edition of Best Gore Members Rock is brought to you by Best Gore member @nvrlonlewthchloraform, who injured his pinky toe falling for the stairs and had to get it sutured by a doc:

On June 8,2019, I was walking down some stairs barefoot. I missed the last step and as I fell, my foot between my toes made contact with the corner of the step. The result was my pinky toe being severed from my foot.

After arriving at VA hospital and being anesthetized, the doctor proceeded to apply stitches between my toes. I did what any gore member would do. I took out my phone and started videotaping it.

When he starts at the back of my foot, the underside was rough and calloused and it took more effort to get his needle in. All in all it was a success and my toe looks almost normal now.

Enjoy!

Many thanks for videotaping the suturing and sharing the video with us, @nvrlonlewthchloraform:

  1. When I read the part about the severed toe and surgery at a VA hospital, I was expecting something gruesome. You know, like a view of a stump and the toe reattached upside down or the possibly of your gaining a sixth finger.

Well, at least you’ll walk again.
