A group of women and children got on board a logging truck in order to catch a ride back home after taking a swim in a river a few kilometers from Baixo Tocantins in Pará, Brazil.
While passing down Rodovia Transcametá, the driver failed to negotiate a curve and the truck went into a ravine where it overturned. Six of eight people on board died. The driver and one child survived with serious injuries.
