  1. In Australia we don’t have stupid road tolls, so no large concrete buildings get in the way. The freeway is continuously protected with crash barriers, though there are many country roads you can veer off the road and hit a tree. On the freeway every overpass has monitored cameras, so its hard to do anything without a traffic cop on your ass. If you do more than 45 km/h (28 m/ph) above the limit, the cops confiscate your car for 30 days and you have to pay $1000 to get it back.

  2. The Porsche’s license plate is visible in this photo. I ran it through CARFAX. The Porsche is a 2001 model, and Christos Catsouras was the second owner, and he purchased in November 2004 with 13,500 miles. Last reported odometer reading was 21,702 miles on September 11, 2006.

The car was sold new at a dealer in Coral Gables, Florida. It also spent some time in Illinois before be sold at auction and then purchased by Christos.
