Foot Degloved - Ran Over by Forklift

Today’s edition of Best Gore Members Rock is brought to you by Best Gore member @lordquas, whose friend sent him a pic of a worker whose foot was degloved by a forklift:

A firefighter friend of mine sent me this pic of a victim who had his foot ran over by a forklift.

I don’t have any other info, and this is exclusive content from USA.

Many thanks for the pic, @lordquas. Did he not wear safety boots that surely are mandatory for people who work around forklifts in places like the USA (unlike in other places in the world)?

      1. @coffindodger pretty much. I had a friend who got his hand caught in a machine and lost his thumb and index finger (sorry, no pics). The power to the machine was cut off and locked out but apparently at some point they routed to an alternate power source due to it constantly blowing fuses, and never notified anybody or documented the earlier change which allowed the machine to start while being worked on. Naturally he was immediately fired, and lost a later lawsuit because the company argued he improperly isolated the machine (after lying through their teeth in court and producing forged documents, etc). Yup, are system to protect workers here in the states is just fkn great

      1. Nope, Myth Busters busted that myth. Steel toed boots do not do that even when many times the certified force is applied! Look it up on the internet, steel toed boots save feet no question about it!

  1. Guys! ………the bright side is that the guy’s gonna heal and feel better anyway !!
beside for whom you guys are having the sombre expression for ? ————————————————————
In a lighter vein though here’s one for laughs
    Job Security
After being laid off from five different jobs in four months, Joe was hired by a warehouse.

One day he lost control of a forklift and drove it off the loading dock.

Surveying the damage, the owner shook his head and said he’d have to withhold 10 percent of Joe’s wages to pay for the repairs.

“How much will it cost?” asked Joe.

    “About $5,500,” said the owner.

“What a relief!” exclaimed Joe. “I’ve finally got job security!”

  2. how does something like that even heal? skin grafts? is there blood still getting to it all? if that is repairable wow what a mess with months of recovery

how does it even happen? the tire? the skid? we need UPDATE

          1. Indeed,it’s amazing that despite such a severe trauma they were able to save the limb.It says she has a pain sensation, light touch sensation and temperature sensation.Yes,there is high risk of necrosis.Imagine going through all this and losing your leg in the end..I’m glad she made it!

    1. Amputation is more than likely. In degloved limbs, the main issue is reconnecting vessels to where they should be in order to maintain circulation. I’m not sure how you would even salvage that foot.

  3. I know forklift are heavy as shit and the moron in the picture wasn’t wearing steel toes but I’m surprised it did that. Also seen steel toes chop someone toes off on a job site by a 20ft w36 I beam carried improperly on a forklift

    1. Considering your not an orthopaedic surgeon, it doesn’t surprise me in the least you would have no idea how to repair that. That’s why people with medical problems consult a doctor and not the chick working in fruit and veg at the supermarket. Strange concept I know……….

  4. How the fuck is this even possible i mean forklift driver two feet one for gas one for brake how can you possibly fuck up like this ????? Answers on a postcard to
